ABOUT US

The University of Alabama Hunt Seat Equestrian Club is one branch of what was the Alabama Equestrian program  before 2020, the other branch being the Western Equestrian Club. Since becoming an independent entity, UA Hunt Seat Equestrian is now completely student-led with its members occupying every executive role needed for the club to function. This student-led atmosphere offers members the opportunity to grow not only as riders but also as teammates and as leaders.

Our club, together with the IHSA, strives to give students a chance to compete in the sport of kings in an affordable, supportive environment. Currently, our team is operating out of Westminster Farm, a private facility less than 20 minutes from campus with Lauren Neibauer, as well as offering lessons at FTF Equestrian in Moundville with Gracie Fike. Members are currently able to lesson once a week and opportunities to ride outside of lessons are available to those looking for extra saddle time.
